The Rotary Club of Burlington presented a Welcome to Burlington sign in July, 2004, to the town at the corner of Cambridge St. and Mall Road. Rick Karwan and David May presented Student Dictionaries to third graders at Pine Glen School as part of the Dictionary Project in September, 2004, giving EVERY third grader in Burlington a Dictionary. A four club joint meeting was held at the Griffin Photographic Museum in Winchester to view the Salgato exhibit. Presidents Brian LaPoint of Winchester, Jim Ficociello of Wilmington, Joe Brown of Woburn and Rick Karwan of Burlington. Annual Mulching Party. Burlington Rotary Club members and their families and friends helped to clean the flower beds, land-scape and mulch at Birchcrest Apts for Seniors. This year's annual Community Service Project was chaired by recently named Rotarian, Marge McDonald. Breast Cancer Quilt Raffle. Lahey Clinic's David Fernandez, Administrative Director, Cancer Services and Burlington Rotary President Roger Bell display the Breast Cancer Quilt that was raffled off at Lahey's Alumni Auditorium.

Rotary Scholarship Winners. Burlington Rotary President Roger Bell and Scholarship Committee Chair, Ed Flanagan, presented $12,500 in scholarships to Burlington youths at the club's weekly luncheon. At Burlington Rotary's Annual Friday Night Fights, announcers John Tuccinardi, President Roger Bell and Dave Fionda, call the fights at the event which was held at the K of C in Burlington. Special Olympics Softball. Burlington Rotarians, having played all summer as the Special Olympic's player's practice team, threw the Olympians an end of season cookout at Rahanis Park.  Past President Roger Bell (L) and Rotary Softball organizer, Lloyd Rosenberg (R) serve hamburgers and hot dogs.

Outgoing Rotary Club President Roger Bell presents the official gavel to incoming Centennial (2004-2005) President Rick Karwan as Past District Governor Eugene Hastings presides and administers the oath. Rotarian John Tuccinardi was presented the Rotary's Rookie of the Year award by outgoing President Roger Bell at a recent ceremony.

Poster Contest Winner. Pine Glen 5th grader, Efrat Hamami, has been chosen as the winner of the Burlington Rotary's Centennial Poster Contest. Her poster will be submitted to the Rotary District and the winner on up to Rotary International for the  celebration of 100 years of Rotary. Burlington Rotary Club President Roger Bell presents checks for twenty five dollars each to Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Melissa Parnell, Mrs. Doreen Began, Mrs. Karen Potts, and Mrs. Elaine Babajtis.  Rotary has given similar checks to every Kindergarten teacher in the Burlington school system. New Paul Harris Fellows. Burlington Rotary President Roger Bell presents this year's Paul Harris Awards to Linda Swanfeldt, Lloyd Rosenberg and Dave Fionda, at the club's annual Paul Harris night.

Senior Citizen Valentine's Dinner Dance. The Rotary kitchen staff, headed by chef Roy Swanfeldt, prepare turkey dinners with all the fixin's
