FRIDAY NITE AT THE FIGHTS

March 22, 2013

Our Club held its annual fight night at the Billerica Elks Hall. A member of the Massachusetts Boxing Commission was present and fighters from Ramaltho's West End Gym in Lowell participated in nine rounds of boxing. The fights were preceeded by a multi-course dinner. This always popular event raises funds for local scholarships and charities. (KarwanPhotos.com)

DISTRICT POLAR PLUNGE

February 23, 2013

Club President Lynne Kelly and Assistant District Governor Peter Majane at Long Beach in Gloucester five minutes after they came out of the ocean at the District's Polar Plunge event. Our club raised $2,500 in pledges to help end polio worldwide.

BURLINGTON SCIENCE CENTER PRESENTS AT OUR CLUB

January 25, 2013

Wendy Pavlicek & Sean Musselman gave a presentation about the Burlington Science Center which included a demonstration of a “fire tornado” and a visit by a live snapping turtle the size of a dog.

HUNDREDS OF COATS TO LONG ISLAND

December 15, 2012

President Lynne loaded a pickup truck with donated jackets and left for Long Island to help those affected most by Hurricane Katrina. Lynne (middle) is seen here with West Hempstead Rotarian Jeanne Stapleton and West Hempstead Club President Sandra Salmon. Lynne's effort is a true example of “service above self.”
